Description

 

To provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardio-thoracic surgical procedures and cardiac catheterizations. To participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.  

 

Salary Range:  $146,505 -  $237,905

 

Flexible alternative scheduling options available.  A $25,000 sign on bonus is available for new hires.

AREAS OF OPPORTUNITY

Multispecialty CRNA Team (MSA)

  • MSA CRNAs provide care using cutting edge technology both in the OR and in remote locations for a multitude of complex care service lines, including trauma, transplant, Code Stroke, GI medicine, neurosurgery, and more.
  • Our large team affords flexibility in scheduling that contributes to your need for work/life balance. Self-scheduling is available and includes shifts of  8, 10, and 12 hours, evenings, and nights.
  • An annual clinical incentive is offered above salary compensation.

 

Cardiovascular CRNA Team (CV)

  • CV CRNAs provide anesthesia care in the OR for cardiovascular and thoracic cases, and remotely at the catheterization laboratory for structural heart cases.
  • On-call rotation is created with a focus on work/life balance.
  • An annual clinical incentive is offered above salary compensation.

  • Located near the UAB Medicine campus, UAB Hospital-Highlands combines the feel of a community hospital – including small size, free parking, and neighborhood location – with the same expertise and technology available at our flagship facility.

Qualifications

 

Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Currently certified with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Currently certified with Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Currently certified with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
