Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The CRM Support and Training Coordinator will provide a variety of information technology services in support of alumni and development activities throughout the University. Reporting directly to the Davie Support Manager, this position will assist in relationship management and application consultation with a focus on data services for the internal user community.
The CRM Support and Training Coordinator’s primary focus will be to provide functional support to our customers while responding to reporting and data service requests through the help desk ticketing system (currently ServiceNow). This will entail a detailed analysis of requirements and issues in addition to the delivery of creative solutions, query creation, data extracts, and reports to the user community. A high-level of quality control is necessary to ensure the accuracy of said reports and data extracts.
This position will also serve as a liaison between the customer and the programming staff while delivering high-quality consulting and troubleshooting for the CRM system and related applications.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master’s or Bachelors and 0-2 years’ experience; or will accept a combination of related education and experience in substitution.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficiency of Microsoft Office software tools with emphasis on Excel is essential. Previous experience working with helpdesk applications, or a ticketing workflow system is essential.
Applicant must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels within the organization. Ability to analyze requests, issues, and problems in order to resolve issues and develop solutions. Must apply critical thinking and be resourceful in developing solutions and/or escalating issues.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A broad knowledge of Alumni and Development operations, in a large university or experience in a non-profit fundraising office is strongly preferred. Experience with relational databases, writing queries and creating reports is strongly preferred. Experience with Blackbaud software products (CRM, Raisers Edge) is preferred.
