Position Details

The Department of Criminology in the College of Social Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at The University of Tampa invites applications for part-time instructors in criminology and criminal justice.

Responsibilities will include:

1.  Teach introductory courses in criminology and criminal justice.

2.  Follow department requirements for syllabi and other course related materials.

3.  Teach course(s) according to department guidelines.

4.  Provide meeting times for students.

5.  Complete course grading and submit final grades on the on-line system.

The successful candidate will have:

1.  Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice (or closely related discipline) required; Doctorate preferred.  A law degree does not substitute for a Master's Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice.

2.  College level teaching experience; experience teaching Criminology/Criminal Justice classes preferred.

3.  Relevant work experience a plus but not required.
