Job Summary
The Office of Records & Registration at Eastern Washington University is currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for a Credential Evaluator 2 position.
Under general direction, this position performs complex transcript evaluation duties; conducts transfer institution research; analyzes EWU graduation requirements and articulation agreements and determines articulation of transfer in coursework using a variety of tools.
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and caring faculty and staff committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to excellence in serving the community.

Conditions of Employment

This position is covered by the Washington Federation of State Employees’ Collective Bargaining Agreement .

Required Qualifications
Specific Position Requirement:
  • High school graduation or GED
  • Two years of experience as a Credentials Evaluator or two years of experience in an admissions, registrar’s or related office.
  • Advanced computer skills to include: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Banner, automated degree audit system,
  • Demonstrated interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility, and/or diversity.

    Evaluation of undergraduate applicants with prior course-work
    • Evaluate high school, college/university, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, CLEP test scores, and domestic credentials for transfer to the university.
    • Use credential evaluation tools such as College Source, EWU catalogs, catalogs from other institutions, ACE Handbook, etc. in consultation with the Program Manager to make determinations of equivalency of transferred coursework;
    • Acts as a liaison between departments and students seeking information about transfer credit and admission to academic programs
