Supervision Received | General supervision from assigned supervisor. |
Supervision Given | Direct supervision of assigned staff. |
Required Education | Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education or in a related field. |
Preferred Education | Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Education or in a related field. |
Licenses/Certifications | None. |
Required Experience |

Preferred Experience | Medical terminology experience and spelling aptitude. |
Equipment | Use of standard office equipment. Should be competent in MS Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook Email, Microsoft Web Expression (or other web development software); experience with Blackboard and Access. |
Working Conditions | Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office Environment; some travel and weekend work is required. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. |
Other | Ability to work in a fast-pace, ever-changing environment. Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines in an organized and detail-oriented manner. |
