SCOPE OF POSITION

OSU Harding Hospital/East Hospital-Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for adults, older adults, and adolescents in central Ohio. We offer more treatment options and a more experienced and diversified staff than any other psychiatric or behavioral healthcare provider in the area. All of our outpatient, IOP, and Partial Hospitalization services include a comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis from a qualified clinician and implementation of an individualized treatment plan.  We offer specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder , Psychosis , Trauma - and Stress-Related Disorders, and Sexual Dysfunction.  We offer specialty programs in Women’s Behavioral Health, Addictions, Trauma, and Neurocognitive Disorders. Talbot Hall provides the most comprehensive addiction services for adults in central Ohio, offering specialized evidence-based services for patients experiencing a Substance Use Disorder. We offer traumatic brain injury specific treatment, the latest Medicated Assisted Treatment for opiate and alcohol use disorders. We offer Detox, Intensive Outpatient, Partial Hospitalization and many Outpatient and continuing care groups.

POSITION SUMMARY


Substance Use Disorder Behavioral Health Clinician 1 at Talbot Hall provides harm reduction education and resources to patients and provides ongoing wrap-around, support to them during their care within any of the Talbot Hall's programming. Coordinates and reminds clients of related health system appointments with providers to ensure follow up. The SUD case manager will assist clients with obtaining bridge scripts to reduce lapses in medication treatment; maintain communication with patients, families, and health care providers to assist the patient through their SUD treatment.

Minimum Qualifications  
 

Bachelor's Degree. Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), Social Work Trainee (SWT), or Counselor Trainee (CT) required. 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Additional Information:

Works closely with Talbot Hall counselors, social workers, psychotherapists and physicians as part of the treatment team.

***The counselor assistant is expected to work towards dependent licensure before the expiration of CDCA, SW Trainee, Counselor Trainee***
