Summary of Position
Collaboratively oversee the day-to-day operations of the Memorial Union & Student Activities, while managing and supporting approximately 200 recognized student organizations in conjunction with another coordinator. Coordinate the planning and implementation of policies, leadership education, and develop programs for student organization leaders as well as both the undergraduate and graduate student body.

  • Ability to deal effectively with the public, students, faculty, staff and external agencies.
  • Ability to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and a sustained commitment to supporting inclusion and equity.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Direct supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of student and leadership development theories and practices and an understanding of the role of the student union and its programs.
  • Knowledge of and experience with college student organizations and their operations.
  • Experience in development and presentation of workshops, classes, and trainings.
