Summary of Position
Responsible for development and implementation of student retention outreach and communications. Support departmental student success processes, programs and initiatives. Conduct success related data assessments; track and report outcomes, and support college-wide retention efforts. Supervise academic studio tutors.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelor ’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of three years’ experience in recruiting /retention, education, counseling, student services, and/or marketing. Prefer degree in counseling, communications, marketing, student services, education or related field.
Minimum Required Experience
Two years wage earning experience in counseling, academic retention, student services, higher education and/or marketing-communications. Experience using automated customer relationship management systems (CRM) or related database technology preferred. Experience working with adult learners, first generation, at-risk, and military students.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM), databases and electronic mass communications.
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Outlook, Excel and Access), as well as database software and management, Boolean logic, File Transfer Protocol (FTP).
  • Demonstrated ability to query database and student information systems (Ellucian Colleague preferred).
  • Familiarity with statistical data collection/assessment tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with the distance education environment.
  • Working knowledge of project management and program development.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, educational colleagues and the community at large.
  • Must have initiative, creativity, flexibility and resourcefulness in fulfilling work assignments and implementing long-range program improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively and in a timely manner.
Salary 1J/Per Salaried Pay Scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours - M-Thur 7:30-5:30, Fr 7:30-11:30
