• Serve as the primary Student Leadership & Involvement contact and resource for Registered Student Organizations (RSO’s).
• Coordinate the annual registration process for RSO’s.
• Develop and implement training for organization executive boards and advisors throughout the year while ensuring compliance with Clery Act and Title IX.
• Process all new RSO requests according to Board of Trustees and Student Leadership and Involvement policies.
• Maintain RSO records and archives through Involvement Link, the Student Leadership and Involvement drive, and hard copy files.
• Regularly review RSO constitutions and by-laws and advise organizations of needed updates and revisions.
• Consult with and provide guidance to RSOs on topics such as organizational management, recruitment, fundraising, financial management, event planning, leadership development, and university policy.
• Conduct semesterly grade reports and hold officers accountable for meeting minimum requirements.
• Oversee the RSO Travel Policy and collaborate with Transportation Services to facilitate the motor vehicle rental process.
• Process RSO requests for student information and mass emails.
• Assist RSO’s with making major purchases and ensure proper procedure is followed for acquiring and tracking property.
• Advise the Undergraduate Student Government’s Ways and Means Committee in administering the Student Activity Fee for RSOs.
• Oversee all Student Activity Fee allocations and transfers.
• Coordinate, promote, implement, and evaluate semesterly student organization Involvement Fairs.
• Develop, propose, and manage approved budgets based on data and event requirements.
• Leverage relevant marketing and outreach strategies to share information with RSOs and promote engagement on campus.
• Advise the student-run programming board, the Memorial Union Board, in the implementation of regularly scheduled campus wide programming.
• Manage the Memorial Union Board budget in collaboration with the organization treasurer ensuring timely and accurate contract processing.
• Serve on University Committees and represent the Department at University functions.
• Identify and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to create lean processes.
• Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.
• Actively create an inclusive, welcoming, and professional work environment for staff, students, and visitors.
• Perform other mission-critical and position-specific duties as requested based on operational needs.
