Position Summary:


Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Professional Development Programs - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Help with front and back-end logistics and resolve problems as they arise or recommend how problems can be resolved.

  • Advise and recruit Executive Continuing Education candidates and students, by providing course information; this includes in person and on the phone interaction with potential students.

  • Plan, implement and conduct information sessions, webinars, programs, and presentations to educate and inform students about certificate programs. This includes coordinating and developing events, marketing, and outreach to students/faculty/staff/employers.

  • Participate and work with Program Development, Content and Target Marketing (in conjunction with the Assistant Director).

  • Administer the Student Advisement Process by creating and maintaining course files, including but not limited to student information, student history, grades, attendance tracking, student payments.

  • Create course shell, enroll students/instructors through Canvas.

  • Create students’ credentials through User Management

  • Manage incoming students’ inquiries and registrations in Radius.

  • Review course content to ensure that all requirements and standards are met.

  • Make positive and constructive contributions to foster a collegial team.

  • Serve as liaison with business units in relation to their event planning needs.

  • Correspond frequently with students by phone and email using strong and professional communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Develop and provide best practices with team members.

  • Provide general office support if requested in other areas.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Experience working with students, and/or adults in an educational environment.
University experience and knowledge of academic advising.
Data entry skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
The Coordinator position for Professional Development Programs requires a service minded, well-organized, detail-oriented person with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and a good multi-tasker.
The position requires an outgoing individual who enjoys providing a high level of service and assisting other people.
This individual should know how to prioritize job tasks, work well under deadlines/pressure, does not mind work in a fast-paced environment, and is a team player with a flexible schedule.

Salary:

$60,000 - $65,000 per year.
