Job Summary | The Department of University Recreation (UREC) at The University of Texas at Dallas seeks a self-motivated and enthusiastic, professional to join our dynamic team of recreational leaders. The coordinator will develop, organize, and direct all aspects of a comprehensive Fitness program with an emphasis on a safe, well-maintained, and adequately staffed environment. This position will provide a comprehensive array of accessible classes, educational workshops, and specialty programming to engage students and members of the university community of all abilities and fitness levels. Set and achieve standards of program delivery that assure the highest quality programs. Reports to the Associate Director of Programs. Day-to-day functions are accomplished with minimal guidance or supervision in accordance with established policies and directives. Remains competent and current through self-directed professional reading, acquires and maintains certifications, develops professional contacts with colleagues, attends professional development courses. |
Minimum Education and Experience | Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; experience in developing and operating a fitness program; certification in CPR & First Aid; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |

Additional Information | During certain times of year, this position requires routine evening and/or weekend supervision due to the nature of program activities. Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
