The Senior Program Coordinator will be part of a small customer service-driven team that is charged with managing the operations of the Office of Education's (OED) academic programs. The Senior Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing various administrative components of the multifaceted Master of Public Health (MPH) program with minimal supervision and requiring independent thought and action. They facilitate smooth workflows and action between OEP and the Admissions Office, the Registrar's Office, the Office of Student Services, Facilities, OED Finance, and Information Technology as well as manage School-wide projects. The incumbent also plays a significant advisory role for prospective and current students.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following, the following:
  • Support student experience from application through orientation. Serve as main point of contact for program inquiries, autonomously meet with and advise prospective students. Support recruiting events. Support admissions processes including screening applications for eligibility, and coordinating interviews and campus visits. Serve on the orientation planning committee and assist with orientation preparation and activities
  • Serve as point of contact for students for non-academic support. Coordinate student progress-related tasks. Oversees the waiver and field of study transfer processes, proactively communicating with students to ensure requirements are met. Manage course enrollment. Implement tracking and monitoring of enrollment-related visa requirements of international students
  • Independently manage degree audit and graduation approval process throughout three cycles per year. Lead automation efforts to improve the process
  • Manage program communications including monitoring the program email account, managing all student listservs, and sending communications to newly admitted and current students
  • Partner with the Director of Educational Policy to provide administrative management of the school-wide course evaluation process which includes entering and maintaining teaching assistant data, managing the related website content, and serving as the contact person for student inquiries
  • Create and present program content at recruiting and admissions events. Represent OEP at School-wide events such as Admitted Student Visit Day. Negotiate and manage contracts with outside vendors. Coordinate with technical support team for remote/virtual events.
  • Coordinate the visa certification process for the Summer Session for Public Health Studies in conjunction with the Harvard Chan Admissions Office
  • Perform other duties as assigned including participation in programs across OEP
PLEASE NOTE: This position may require occasional schedule flexibility. Schedule will be adjusted to accommodate for overall weekly hours worked and for which advance notice will be provided
PLEASE NOTE: The primary work location for this position is Boston, Massachusetts. Until our return to campus, which is still to-be-determined but anticipated to begin as soon as August/September 2021 (or later into the fall), this interview process and position will be conducted virtually – including virtual interviews, remote onboarding, and remote work. The remote nature of this position is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required as a condition of continued employment once the School and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered
