Description of Work Unit | The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life is situated in the Campus Life Cluster reporting to the Dean of Students. The office is dedicated to improving the overall experiences of its members and constituents. In collaboration with other Colorado State University resources, inter/national offices and associations, and alumni/ae, the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life provides leadership opportunities through student empowerment and involvement of its members in service to both CSU and the community. Position Summary | The Coordinator for Fraternity & Sorority Life provides ongoing educational, cultural, and leadership development programs, services, resources, and advising for the fraternity and sorority community that consists of 45+ chapters with over 3000 members, and respective governing councils and auxiliary groups. The Coordinator provides valued advising of groups within the community, supervision of one graduate assistant, and up to five supplemental graduate assistants. The Coordinator coordinates and delivers harm reduction and risk management programming and initiatives. In addition, the Assistant Director creates, teaches/facilitates educational courses and programs. This is a 12-month, full-time position that reports to the Assistant Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life. The Coordinator is committed to fostering an inclusive fraternity and sorority community through advising, supervision, and facilitation/teaching on topics connected to the Department’s goals around diversity and social justice. |
