Summary
The Coordinator for Experiential Learning is responsible for implementing programming based on the Social Change Model of Leadership Development, Inclusion and Multicultural programs such as cultural celebrations, student diversity initiatives, and building an inclusive community for all students, especially those that identify as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). This role is responsible for managing federal work study students and gathering stakeholders from across various departments and divisions.
This role will assist the Associate Director for Experiential Learning on co-curricular and experiential pathways.

Essential Functions
Coordinate educational and co-curricular programming that support the retention and engagement of undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds:
Lead the development and logistics for the Leadership & Inclusion Conference (fall) and Women’s Leadership Summit (spring) including but not limited to keynote speaker, breakout session facilitators, campus partnerships, and interactive components.
Create a welcoming campus culture where all students can develop a sense of belonging, network with peers, develop their skills, and build relationships with staff and student leaders.
Support the success of student organization leadership and members by providing personal, social, financial, and professional advising and mentoring
Oversee logistics, marketing, website, event materials, catering, room reservations, and A/V.
Supervise work-study students, including scheduling, timesheets, task delegation, and professional development
Develop and promote co-curricular calendar and programming for national heritage and history months, recognize special dates related to diversity, inclusion, and multicultural celebrations
Gather committee with faculty, staff, and student representatives for campus-wide calendars such as Hispanic Heritage Month and Black History Month
Partner with students, faculty and staff stakeholders in support of designated celebrations such as First-Generation College Student Day and PRIDE Week.
Create marketing and social media strategy to raise awareness and recruit student participation.
Career, Co-curricular and Experiential Learning programs:
Assists the Associate Director for Experiential Learning on co-curricular, experiential learning pathways for each academic major.
Assist to embed experiential learning and leadership and inclusion programs into co-curricular pathways and experiential maps in each academic major.
Assists Career Counselors on events and programs that support the career readiness and employability of students.
Serve as an active member of the Engagement team through collaboration with colleagues:
Contribute to quarterly and annual reports, assessments, publications, and presentations that support the work of the department and division.
Partner with New Student Programs on delivery of the Emerging Leaders Programs, New Student Orientation, and First Year Experience
Assist with planning and implementation of mission-centered traditions and themed weeks, including but not limited to Welcome Week, Peace Week, Founders’ Week, and Earth Week.
Serve on divisional and university-wide committees.
Support evening and weekend programs as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required. A Maser's degree in Student Development, Multicultural Studies, College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, or related field is preferred.
A year of relevant experience is preferred.
Ability to analyze and understand student development theories, needs, and best practices to support historically underrepresented students
Must be able to develop, implement, and assess student leadership and diversity-related programs that engage a university wide audience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, marketing, and social media platforms.
Ability to communicate effectively and responsively across diverse identities and cultures in written, and oral form.
Must have the ability to facilitate workshops, presentations, and training sessions.
Must have a valid driver's license.
