General Description / Primary Purpose
The Coordinator of Equal Opportunity and Inclusion (EOI), under the direction of the Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and programs to ensure effectiveness of the same, with respect to compliance, diversity and inclusion Performs routine work that involves analytics, qualitative research, planning, training and organizational policy review and interpretation.

Essential Duties


Job Function
Manages in-take process for all discrimination complaints. Conducts initial review of complaints for jurisdictional purposes and assigns to appropriate office if EOI does not have jurisdiction. Schedules meetings for investigations. Distributes correspondence regarding investigation case updates, and distributes final documents. Create and update case files in Maxient. Manages the confidential personnel records associated with complaint investigation about programs and services provided by the Office of EOI. Conducts research, development and implementation of new and expanded compliance training and projects in seated, hybrid and on-line formats. Develops on-line catalog of training programs for the university community. Develops and implements Respondent Education support program to include training and resources. Assists with coordination and engagement in outreach efforts cross campus and throughout the UNF community as appropriate. Assists in the preparation of the annual federal Affirmative Action Plan, Board of Governor’s Florida Equity Report, Clery Report. EOI Annual Report and promotional documents regarding the services offered by EOI. Manage focus group program. Liaison with departmental diversity and inclusion officials. Provide data retrieval and routine analysis for reports using various software applications; recommending and assisting with content and building tools (PowerPoint, video presentations) for EOI training and New Employee Orientation; and updating web-based information and resources to ensure compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act. Preparation of annual materials for budgeting office. Purchases items for EOI and ensures payment. Manages employment functions related to search and screen process as well as search waivers and degree waivers. Liaison with University Search and Screen Committees. Reviews new academic program proposals to ensure completion before forwarding to the Title IX Coordinator for approval. Reviews grant awardee complaint status with EOI for outside agencies. Edit and update Diversity Recruitment Guide.

Marginal Functions
Serves as resource person to coordinate office activities with other academic/administrative units, community organizations and special interest groups. Create new CMS web pages, update existing pages; test/repair web pages for WCAG compliance; and upload accessible documents. Maintain EOI social media pages. Primary contact for public records requests. Work with parking and transportation to create, update and purchase posters and shuttle advertisements. Tabling for university events. EOI newsletter distribution, including publication to the EOI website. Completes special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
This position requires either (a) Master’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization ; (b) Bachelor’s degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.
