Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field and two years of related experience. Experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EF. Salary Min: $46,476; Mid $56,216
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in communications, marketing, customer service, public relations, or event planning
- Demonstrated experience working with publication production, social media, and web design
- Experience working in higher education setting
The College of Arts & Sciences is the University of Louisville's largest academic unit. Under the direct supervision of the A&S Chief of Staff, the Communications and Alumni Relations Coordinator will produce strategic external communications and promote the engagement of alumni and focus on communicating the stories of A&S and its students, faculty and staff.
Duties of position includes:
Telling the A&S story to increase its visibility and distinctiveness with timely, strategic, and well-designed content and communications.
Fostering relationships with A&S alumni, donors, and alumni boards, in collaboration with the Advancement team.
A high degree of professionalism, initiative, creativity, and dependability are desired for this collaborative work.
Competencies:
Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate, conceptualize and interact with different internal and external audiences.
Appropriate knowledge of principles and methods of planning and being part of a comprehensive alumni engagement program.
Creative ability, self-driven and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and act with a high degree of integrity, professionalism, creativity, and cooperation with internal and external constituents
