Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education.
Special Conditions
The department is especially interested in candidates who are CPR/AED & First Aid certified.
Work Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 1:45 p.m. – 10:15 p.m.
Friday: 11:45 a.m. – 8:15 p.m.
Hours may vary depending on seasonal changes in operational hours and other factors. May require work beyond normal hours.

Working Conditions

Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service: Provides exemplary customer service and leads all student staff in this regard by example and instruction.
Duties & Responsibilities
Staff Supervision: Coordinates schedules and manages student cashiers, student access attendants and student equipment check-out attendants. Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of all other student staff, providing instruction, and ensuring safety in every area. Collaborates with professional staff to address performance issues in the various areas of Campus Recreation operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Transactions: Verifies cash counts and enforces transaction policies and procedures for all point-of-sale locations in the R. Brad Martin Student Wellness Center. Accounts for daily income at closing and handles the appropriate documentation.

Special Event Logistics: Assists with running special events logistics. Serves as on-site contact for faculty, staff, community leaders and participants at special events, providing customer-focused support. Ensures a positive representation of the university.
Duties & Responsibilities
Facility Security: Oversees facility access processes. Ensures all areas of Campus Recreation facilities are secure at all times of operation and during special events. Operates the computer access system and troubleshoots any issues that may arise. Verifies all who access the facility are valid students, members, or approved guests of the university.
Duties & Responsibilities
Safety and Emergency Response: Monitors all recreational areas for safety, eliminating risk and addressing safety concerns. Serves as first responder in emergency situations, making decisions and taking action per established procedures rooted in safety training. Completes incident reports following established university and departmental processes, to document each emergency.
