Description
Do you have a year or more of culinary experience? We are seeking a dedicated and passionate cook to join our culinary team and assist in preparing and serving food for patients and employees. The Culinary Associate will be responsible for following standardized recipes, adhering to nutrition requirements and food safety guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our patients and staff through the provision of high-quality food services.
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Shift: Mon – Friday, 11:30am to 8pm, Every other weekend, rotating holidays
Department: Essentials Restaurant
Salary Range: $15.33 - $19.75 (final salary based on experience). Temporary Pay Incentive through 3/30/24: $2.50/hr
UNION BID: 2/20/24 to 2/26/24
The Culinary Associate will perform the following duties:
- Prepare all food according to standardized recipes, nutrition requirements, and food safety guidelines
- Work in a variety of food production areas, including dining rooms, public areas and other nourishment areas while following food safety standards, infection control and PPE procedures and guidelines
- Handle food products and food waste in both patient and retail environments
- Maintain and operate food equipment in a safe manner
- Keep equipment and area clean, sanitized, restocked and in good working condition

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of one year of culinary experience.

Must be able to read and write English.
Preferred Qualifications:

High School Degree or equivalent preferred.

Prefer obtainment of current University of Missouri Food Handler’s Certificate within one month of employment.

Additional licensure/certification requirements as determined by hiring department.
Physical Demands:
