Job Description

The contracts law clerk works with the University Outreach College of Continuing Education under the supervision of the Director of Contract Administration.  Responsibilities include reviewing, editing & negotiating small dollar contracts including independent contractor, service agreement and hotel contracts for all departments. 

The law clerk also conducts research as needed and assists on special projects as requested.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Must be enrolled in a combination of two terms at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

  • Must attach Spring, Summer, and/or Fall 2024 class schedule
  • Must be a second or third year law student in Fall of 2024

Skills:



  • Proficient in Legal Research and Writing

  • Must have an understanding of the concepts related to contracts

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook

  • Self-motivated and a problem solver

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Vision adequate to see computer screen and printed information
  • Ability to type and use a computer

Department Preferences:

  • In top 1/2 of law school class
  • Availability to work 2-3 hours each day Monday through Friday
