The Keiser University Media and Public Relations Department is seeking a results-oriented content production specialist to serve in a leadership capacity, producing timely and consistent content that contributes to the overall reputation of the university on social and digital media. The content production specialist will play a lead role in sharing the University’s mission, stories, and successes through the development of high-quality video and photo content for social and digital media channels, blogs, websites, and online platforms, delivering key messages to policymakers, community stakeholders, and the higher education community. Project management, video editing and graphic design, social media planning and management, writing, and special event planning are critical functions of the content production specialist.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Produce and curate original content for Keiser’s digital media channels including but not limited to videos, motion graphics, still images, social media posts, and occasional written blogs and stories.
• Development and implementation of measurable video content strategies that increase social engagement with all University stakeholders including campus champions, lawmakers, and employers in support of Keiser University goals and initiatives.
• Identify opportunities, trends, and innovations in video and digital/social media spaces to stay relevant and effective.
• Develop campus contacts and surrogates to assist in an organized content curation strategy.
• Assist in the implementation of public affairs campaigns with colleagues in development and fundraising, government relations, student services, and alumni relations.
• Support team in crisis communications situations, such as hurricane advisories, working with the Office of the Chancellor and the media to provide disciplined messages in an accurate and timely manner.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in video production, digital media, broadcast journalism, marketing, advertising, or related discipline
• 2 years of experience in a similar role with a proven record of content production for digital and social media
• Strong video editing skills utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other professional video editing software
• Strong motion graphic skills in Adobe After Effects
• Knowledge of image editing and manipulation in Adobe Photoshop
• Strong communication, project management, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Spanish is an asset, but not required

This is a full-time position located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and requires regular, planned travel throughout Florida.
