Position Summary The Content Producer for the UT College of Arts and Sciences works with the professional communications team to support content development across all print and digital platforms for the college, its 30+ departments and interdisciplinary programs, and centers for research and creative activity. This person will work with the Content Strategist to write content for a variety of print and digital platforms, such as recruiting materials, video scripts, social media campaigns, newsletters, websites, and the college administrative gateway.

Roles and Responsibilities • Develop and curate content for print and digital platforms that support strategic initiatives of the college • Support content creation for recruiting brochures and other assets that promote the college and its 30+ departments and interdisciplinary programs and engages prospective students • Develop copy for college and department websites and the college intranet platform to increase effectiveness and efficiency of departmental processes and procedures • Write talking points and scripts for video production that will accurately convey university and college messaging and conform to branding specifics • Work closely with content strategist to develop "Points of Pride" for the college and all departments and programs, increasing visibility and awareness of the accomplishments of the college's students, faculty, and staff • Collaborate with advancement team to produce content for fundraising campaigns that will encourage donor interest and involvement to meet advancement goals • Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and effective • Gather feedback from internal—students, faculty, and staff—and external users in order to advocate for the needs of our audiences as content is being produced Required Skills Excellent writing and editing skills. Ability to determine how content should be presented for maximum impact and delivered for maximum audience engagement. Strong understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), keyword research, information architecture, and usability best practices. Attention to detail and good analytical abilities to spot patterns and trends in content marketing data. Solid knowledge of branding guidelines and AP and/or Chicago Manual of Style guides and rules. Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver multiple projects on a rolling delivery schedule. Ability to present concepts to campus partners or team members in a clear, confident manner. Ability to produce and manage creative work within a system of established templates and content delivery systems. Ability to work well independently and as a member of a collaborative team; act professionally; provide and be receptive to feedback and constructive criticism; be a self-motivated learner; teach, mentor, and share knowledge with others; and build and maintain good customer satisfaction for the College of Arts and Sciences Office of Communications Preferred Skills Knowledge of content management systems, such as WordPress, and project management systems. Skilled in photography and video. Experience in higher education content development Required Experience Associates degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, English, or related field in communications or the humanities and at least 3 years of professional experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified OR A high school diploma and at least 5 years of professional experience as a content manager or content developer Preferred Experience Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising, English, or related field in communications or the humanities and at least 3 years of professional experience directly related to content production
