Job Description
The Content Marketing Strategist, under direction of the Content Marketing Manager, is responsible for managing the social media marketing (paid and organic) content for the College of Engineering and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station. This position is an integral part of maintaining a consistent brand tone and voice across any social media platform. The Content Marketing Coordinator ensures information released via social media accurately represents the initiatives and culture of the Texas A&M Engineering Brand.
The Content Marketing Strategist, under general supervision, creates content for the College of Engineering and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn). The specialist also assists in responding to inquiries and social listening to monitor sentiment of the Texas A&M Engineering brand.
Responsibilities:
Identifies content to promote via social media channels.
Creates social media posts in Sprout Social according to brand standards and campaigns under the direction of the Content Marketing Manager.
Timely responds to inquiries and provides direct avenues to appropriate resources as indicated by Content Marketing Manager.
Monitors Reddit and other forums to gauge brand sentiment and alerts Content Marketing Manager.
Attends student events, takes photos, conducts interviews under the direction of the Content Marketing Manager.
Assists with basic graphic design, as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Experience:
Experience in business-related social media management.
