Brief Position Overview | The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) invites applications for a non-tenure-track faculty position in construction engineering technology with industry experience in heavy civil construction. The CE Department offers BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering, and a BS degree in Construction Engineering Technology. The Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering (NACOE) offers a PhD degree in engineering with a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Applied Mechanics option. Approximately 720 students are enrolled in these programs supported by over 20 full time faculty. |

Position Details
General Statement | Faculty for this position will be hired as part of an industry initiative initiated by the Beavers Heavy Civil Construction Association Charitable Trust and local and national heavy civil construction companies. Full-time non-tenure track appointments in the Department of Civil Engineering will have primary responsibilities in teaching and industry service. Successful candidates will become an integral member of the Department, with duties to include teaching courses in the curriculum, contributing to program and curriculum development, and participating in professional/service activities. Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate successfully with faculty, staff, and students. |
