The Office of OneIT provides highly reliable information technology infrastructure, tools, and services to empower the University to achieve its academic, research, administrative, and service goals.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Concur Functional Administrator position provides functional and operational support and system subject matter expertise for the Concur Travel & Expense Application. This includes the management of system integrations, researching and resolving problems, and providing systems analysis and project management for implementations and process improvements. Responsibilities include: daily troubleshooting and user support, escalating and engaging with other OneIT teams, Disbursements, and Concur support as needed; monitoring for and working to resolve system errors; maintaining documentation of issues, configurations, and training materials; organizing teams, writing technical requirements, working with other OneIT teams, Disbursements and Concur on solutions; testing modifications or improvements. This position is also responsible for leading and developing the testing plans for integrations with Concur as well as the plans for Banner upgrades which involve Travel and Expense, PCard transactions, and integrations with Concur.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
Provide functional and technical operational support for the Concur Travel & Expense Application and the Banner Accounts Payable and Finance module in relation to Concur integrations and transactions; collaborate with partners, respond and resolve or escalate integration failures, perform testing due to upgrades or new solutions, support the Concur Travel & Expense Application, research and implement new functionality options, analyze and identify data inconsistencies, and produce and maintain documentation; and work closely with the Banner Finance business system analyst.
Lead and develop the testing plans for integrations with the Concur Travel & Expense Applications as well as plan for Banner upgrades that involve Concur Travel & Expense integrations and transactions.
Serve as lead contact for the third-party vendor SAP Concur.
Using systems analysis techniques, identify, recommend, and implement solutions to enhance or increase business process efficiency. Responsibilities include working closely with the stakeholders, Banner Finance BSA, and other OneIT departments on solutions, testing modifications or improvements.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business, accounting, or technology related field from an accredited institution, plus 2-4 years of work experience. Experience in the field of work related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Banner
  • Experience with a travel and expense system
  • Experience as a functional system administrator or business analyst, preferably in higher education, including working with third-party providers and their service and community systems
  • Experience developing and delivering training courses through a variety of methods including in-person training, virtual training, and on-demand reference guides
  • Advanced Excel knowledge, experience, and skills
  • Experience with testing methodologies, test script creation and execution, and documenting test results
  • Experience working with cross-functional and technical teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize while multi-tasking and manage tasks in an efficient and timely manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and possesses excellent time management skills
  • Initiative to research and investigate problems and solutions
  • High energy and ability to work both independently and across multiple functional departments
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer groups, brand personnel, system users, and senior leadership
