Position Summary
Computer science tutors offer assistance to computer science majors for their computer science courses during scheduled tutoring lab hours in Wallace 455. Tutors are expected to help students better understand the concepts taught in the course rather than help directly with a homework or lab assignment. Tutoring hours assigned are based on the tutor’s class schedule and work availability.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Must be a computer science major.
2. Must have satisfactorily completed CSC 191 AND CSC 195.
3. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
4. Must have good communication skills and the ability to explain computer science course concepts to others.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will meet all of the minimum qualifications and have completed both CSC 191 and CSC 195 with an A. Tutors are expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to being reliable, mature and hardworking.
