Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Data and Analytics Manager, this position is to develop reports and information products using established data analytics platforms to support UCLA's Office of Research Administration (ORA), Technology Development Group (TDG), and Research Policy & Compliance (RPC) goals and objectives.
Under the supervision of the Data and Analytics Manager, this position is to develop reports and information products using established data analytics platforms to support UCLA's Office of Research Administration (ORA), Technology Development Group (TDG), and Research Policy & Compliance (RPC) goals and objectives.
The incumbent will curate and analyze both transactional system data and data warehouse data using computational, data visualization, data science, and Cyberinfrastructure (CI) research and development principles to facilitate data integration and report development.
Duties involve querying and combining data across multiple systems and using multiple data platforms. Responsibilities include design, development, analysis, operation, and support of reporting platforms sourced from departmental business data systems.
Additionally carries out algorithm development, optimization, programming, performance analysis, or benchmarking assignments involving CI design, data science, or visualizations and their respective implementation requirements.
The incumbent is an experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the data analytics field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities required; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems/issues of diverse scope and determines solutions.
The incumbent is responsible for staying up to date with the latest data and analytics trends and technologies through ongoing training.
