Position Summary
The Department of English at the University of Idaho seeks to hire one full-time temporary lecturer to teach first-year writing, professional writing, and other areas as needed. This is a non-renewable, nine-month (academic year) position with a 4/4 teaching load at lower-and upper-division undergraduate levels.

Qualifications


Minimum Education/Degree Required
  • M.A. in English or M.F.A. in Creative Writing.
Required Qualifications
  • At least one year’s experience as a teacher of first-year writing and/or creative writing in the University of Idaho Department of English Master’s program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A record of exemplary teaching at UI, as evidenced by teaching evaluations, syllabi, and other course materials;
  • Additional training (beyond the introductory pedagogy course) in rhetorical and/or composition theory and pedagogy.
