Job Summary
 

The Community Relations & Events Coordinator will support the Institute for Health Logistics & Analytics (IHLA) mission to transform the health and well-being of our communities through applied evidence-based practices and technology integration. This position will be responsible for building strategic community partnerships, representing the institute at conferences and events, and executing social media campaigns and will represent the IHLA to the community at large through the development and maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders, community groups, and external agencies. In close collaboration with the institute's Outreach & Marketing Coordinator, the Community Relations & Events Coordinator will be responsible for providing communications support and structure to general institute activities as well as specific health-related initiatives in a fast paced environment. This position is 100% contract-funded, and continued employment is contingent upon further grant or contract funding.

Employment is contingent upon funding.


Responsibilities
 
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the institute¿s customer relationship management (CRM) software system
  • Manage social media to enhance the IHLA brand, promote events, and special projects, which includes maintaining a content calendar for social media and interacting with followers
  • Monitor event and social media project status, proactively managing changes, and effectively communicating regularly to ensure the messaging is relevant and on schedule
  • Research industry and community events in our areas of interest and assess the value add for the IHLA mission
  • Handle all event-related responsibilities, including but not limited to coordinating, promoting, attending, and scheduling pre- and post-event meetings
  • Prepare and manage inventory of event-related assets across IHLA projects
  • Coordinate facilities, lodging, food and beverage, travel, and other related issues for internal and external meetings, conferences, and special events
  • Collaborate with IHLA's Outreach & Marketing Coordinator to develop and execute a strategy to work successfully with representatives from various communities, organizations, and neighborhoods with respect to the diverse populations and IHLA serves and seeks to serve
  • Collaborate closely with the IHLA Business & Finance Coordinator to oversee event and travel budgets
  • Ensure alignment with key IHLA strategies, objectives, and project expectations to facilitate and contribute to ongoing community conversations
  • Create and produce IHLA newsletter and general email campaigns to keep the community informed of general IHLA initiatives

Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

  • Two (2) or more years of community relations and event coordination experience

Preferred Qualifications
 

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with CRM software 
  • Strong technology skills

Proposed Salary
 

$57,000

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis
