Description of Work
The individuals in these positions will interact and engage with the local community (Pine Ridge) on behalf of the research team at UNL. Their duties will include providing information about the project, connecting it to community and cultural values, giving presentations to school boards and tribal partners, hosting feeds and community events, recruitment and enrollment in research studies, and providing recommendations to the research team based on community interactions.

Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience plus experience working with tribal communities and/or knowledge of the Native American cultures, traditions, and histories. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer relevant coursework, or specialized training beyond high school in Indigenous studies, psychology, sociology, public health, social work, family studies, criminology, or a highly related field. The ideal candidate will have experience working with and/or knowledge of sexual violence prevention and/or intervention. Preference will be given to individuals with a history of public speaking and/or community engagement work. Additionally, the person in this position will ideally have exceptional interpersonal skills, public speaking abilities.
