This part-time position supports a project intended to create resources for community service in Philadelphia courts. Community liaisons will represent a region of Philadelphia (West, North, or South) and work with a team of two other liaisons led by a Project Coordinator. Liaisons will work 10-20 hours per week between September 2026 and June 2027, which will include weekly meetings. During the pilot project between January 2027 and June 2027, liaisons will be expected to respond to clients within their region within 24 business hours or to forward the message to the Project Coordinator within that timeframe. The team will work remotely, but liaisons should be based in Philadelphia or near enough to frequently meet with community groups and attend events.
Job Description
Community Support
- Communicate frequently with the Project Manager to establish and follow goals, progress, and timelines.
- Plan, attend, and execute promotion and conclusion events.
- Respond to client concerns as they appear within 24 business hours.
- Respond or elevate concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work with vulnerable populations and community members and organizations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Meet with other stakeholders and provide support to community groups, court representatives, and stakeholders as needed.
- Suggest ideas for project improvement and efficiency to the Project Manager.
- Attend court as necessary to provide support and information.
- Hold sessions for clients as needed to explain the program, provide support, and instruct in website and computer usage.
- Ensure progress is met or goals are revised in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Provide varied and complex support and assistance to all staff as necessary (reports, event staffing, etc.).
- Additional duties as assigned by the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications
- Familiarity with at least one region (North, South, or West) of Philadelphia
- Experience interacting with or working for Philadelphia community groups and nonprofits
- Experience with and sensitivity to vulnerable populations including justice-involved individuals
- Knowledge of court systems, especially within Philadelphia
- Reliable communication and ability to attend online meetings
- Organized, adaptable, energetic and articulate with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with internet use and ability to teach others how to use a website like LinkedIn
- Experience with Google Docs and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel and staff events within Philadelphia
- Ability to solve problems and provide support to community members and vulnerable populations
This position pays between $25.00- $30.00/hour and is determined based on candidacy.
