Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).


As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated.

Position Summary
This position will serve as the community liaison, promoting and representing the Center
for Health Disparities (CRHD) and University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in communities. The Community Health Program Manager will assist with implementing the research agenda and community projects at CRHD’s North Omaha Satellite Office. The research, services, and outreach activities will community-driven or community-based to promote health and health equity in North Omaha.

Demonstrated cultural awareness, professionalism, leadership, and communication skills to effectively engage and work with community partners, and develop long-term, trusting partnerships.
Strong skills in writing and project management. 
Demonstrated ability to work well with fellow teammates.
Strong organizational abilities including the ability to work independently, establish priorities, and can meet work deadlines.
Knowledge of personnel laws and regulations.
Experience providing oversight for staff and students on project-related tasks.
Preferred Education: Master's degree

Experience collecting, analyzing, and/or interpreting quantitative and qualitative data. 
Experience with hospitals and/or academic institutions.
