The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, Epilepsy Division, is seeking a full-time community health coordinator to assist with connecting patients to local and national community resources made available through the Epilepsy Foundation and its Ohio Chapter, and work closely with the Epilepsy clinical team to monitor the impact of education activities on the well-being of the patients.  This position will support the University's mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff and all our activities.

• Plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of community education projects including the recruitment and retention of participants.
• Conduct focus groups.
• Engage with local, state, and national stakeholders who are engaged in community educational programs.
• Provide outreach support to collaborating entities.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

• Knowledge of, acceptance of and experience with the diversity of the gay/lesbian/ bisexual/ transgender community. Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends based on outreach activities being conducted outside of regular working hours.
• Ability to travel; must be able to drive or have reliable transportation.

• Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
