JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State Hershey College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a qualified candidate as a Community Engagement Coordinator for a program consisting of multiple projects and collaborative partnerships focused on improving health outcomes at a community level. This position will support the Community Engagement Manager by assisting with the development, implementation, and evaluation of grant projects. This candidate would be responsible for developing and coordinating project materials; assisting with interim and final reports; preparing and maintaining project documentation; preparing grants and HSPO documentation; assisting with writing scientific papers for publications; and entering and analyzing data in the REDCap data collection tool. Specifically, this position will be responsible for implementing and evaluating locally tailored practice- and evidence-based strategies related to nutrition, physical activity, and community-clinical linkages in Lebanon and Reading, Pennsylvania. Qualified candidates will be detail oriented, produce high quality work, communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, and participate in and support team decisions and team responsibilities. Local/regional traveling will be required for this position.

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish.

This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check 
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History- 
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
