Job Summary
 

Develops and build relationships and partnerships (internal and external) to facilitate a broader knowledge and awareness of Community and Professional Education (CPE) at Kennesaw State University. Engages with local community groups, high schools, and employers to introduce and market CPE programs. Collaborates with and serves as the main point of contact with Community Engagement peers across campus for idea sharing and learning. Collaborates with marketing, program teams, and leadership on developing strategies to promote growth and increase revenue.


Responsibilities
 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for marketing CPE programs with local community groups, high schools, and employers
2. Networks and engages with local organizations identified as bringing value, by making presentations and joining as a member where appropriate and allowable
3. Participates as needed in the development of annual marketing plans, competitive analysis, and planning of marketing events
4. Develops and builds strong relationships with current accounts while pursuing and growing relationships with new accounts
5. Identifies and pursues new business opportunities to expand our client base and drive revenue growth
6. Works with leadership on corporate training proposals
7. Demonstrates the desire to become an expert in the industry to develop and retain better customer relationships
8. Works closely with program teams, marketing, and management on developing strategies to promote growth
9. Conducts presentation meetings with potential clients
10. Generates leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals
11. Qualifies leads from marketing campaigns
12. Contacts and presents to potential clients through cold calls, emails and social media
13. Sets up meetings or calls between prospective clients and members of the leadership team
14. Maintains and cultivates a direct line of communication with leadership about progress with target accounts, sales activity, potential opportunities and competitive information


Required Qualifications
 

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field or equivalent combination of experience and/or education is required.
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted driver's license
Required Experience
Three (3) years related work experience in community engagement, promotion and/or sales


Preferred Qualifications
 

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education marketing
Previous experience with adult learners
Experience working with event planning in a higher education or corporate setting

Able to interact with individuals from diverse levels within an organization to provide consultative expertise
