Position Summary

Working independently in the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, evaluation, maintenance, and on-going support of multimedia promotional strategies.

The strategist will plan and direct the development of comprehensive promotional strategies for UNeTech’s participating startups, its ongoing educational programs and developmental projects. Planning and direction will include the integration of multiple technology platforms: web publishing, social media engagement, and the coordination of custom artwork.

The strategist will need to interact with UNMC and UNO faculty, regional professional leaders, and international media to plan and execute media strategies. The strategist will need to cultivate a network of professional contributors, efficiently cultivate ongoing messaging and translate it across multiple media. The strategist will need to be able to draft communication strategies that can be executed across a team of communication professionals to support the strategy by creating messaging, managing social media platforms, building and maintaining relationships with the community, and leveraging the collaborations within the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Nebraska Medicine/University of Nebraska Omaha network.

o Solid experience in writing across web-based, long form, and public relations
o Coaching abilities for on-stage presentations
o Solid experience in developing and drafting grant proposals
o Use of personal cell phone may be required in the course of University business.
