Department Summary
The Center for Health Policy has three pillars: Research, Education and Community. These pillars are underpinned by health equity, the translation of research into policy and the practical and effective implementation of policies related to health. The Center focuses particularly but not exclusively on three broad areas: Telementoring & Workforce Development, Rural Health and Whole Health.
Position Overview
This role will support the spectrum of strategic communication for the Center for Health Policy. This includes but is not limited to website and social media management, event communications, and operational communications across a broad range of projects and programs.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related professional field and three (3) years of related experience. A combination of education and relevant experience may be substitute for the educational requirement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to demonstrate strong written, oral and social media communication skills. 
  • Demonstrate highly organized, with good planning and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work according to schedules and itineraries but also use good judgement on when to be flexible. 
  • Demonstrate discipline and diligence with social media. 
  • Ability to be a team player and work well with others. 
  • Ability to  be a strong multi-tasker. 
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism or related field with one year of experience.
