Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director, and working closely with faculty, students and other offices in the Law School and the University the incumbent takes a central role in all elements of work of Registration Services, with special responsibility for communications.


Responsibilities

1. Student records administration
Assist in managing the cross-registration of CLS students taking classes at other schools (Columbia University and NYU).

2. Communication Strategy & Implementation
Responsible for developing and managing a communication strategy for ORS (handbooks, email reminders and newsletters); coordinates communications with other offices; maintains the ORS website and reviews opportunities for improvement in consultation with the ORS staff; explores new modes of communicating (technology, social media, etc) with the Law School community.

3. Exams administration
Working closely with the Registration Services Officer, supports all elements of the administration of CLS exams.

4. Performs other related duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or its equivalent required; advanced degree preferred. Three years of relevant work experience required. Proficiency with standard office software, including programs such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access required. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, as is the ability to work effectively and creatively with graduate students and faculty as well as with administrators in other areas of the University. Attention to detail and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently in a high volume/high pressure environment, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously with short deadlines are essential. Some evening work will be necessary during the CLS exam period. Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment
