Job Summary


The Communications Coordinator, Enrollment Management writes, develops, and delivers communication campaigns within the Slate CRM system to support University enrollment targets. Creates, edits, and deploys communications content to increase enrollment interest, inquiries, applications, and the yield of admitted prospective students. Leverages a comprehensive understanding of various new student audiences to provide unique, audience-specific communications with accuracy and attention to detail. Creates and implements content that enables functional teams to reach audience-specific enrollment targets.

Job Description

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Writes, edits, delivers, and oversees communications to a wide variety of prospective student audiences using compelling and engaging content in written and visual formats. 
  • Oversees communications within the Slate CRM system. Creates and edits queries and email templates for target audiences and ensures the accuracy of communications prior to distribution.
  • Works closely with the Enrollment Management team to create, edit, and enhance communication streams for prospective and accepted students to achieve desired enrollment outcomes.
  • Creates, edits, and coordinates the timing and sequencing of marketing campaigns in Slate. Writes, edits, creates, and processes communication campaigns in support of Enrollment Management strategy.
  • Works with campus partners to develop communications strategies, write and edit targeted communications, and launch messaging through the Slate CRM.
  • Collects information and data/statistics used in the analysis and evaluation of the performance of recruitment and yield strategies within enrollment management initiatives.
  • Collaborates across the University to improve digital communications processes toward the goal of increasing enrollment and retention rates.
  • Creates, edits, and produces reports with technical analytics in Slate. Analyzes data to evaluate enrollment marketing and admissions communications strategies.
  • Assists with creating and implementing long-term plans for the CRM's function within the department as it relates to recruitment management and prospect communications.
  • Provides communications training for Enrollment Management and Admissions staff as well as relevant stakeholders.
  • Stays current on trends and education in recruitment and enrollment web-based technology to develop new and improved strategies for effective communications. 
  • Stays current on FGCU Branding Guidelines and applies standards as appropriate to Enrollment Management marketing and communications.

Other Duties

  • Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of University and Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions office policies and practices.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications

  • This position requires either six years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.
  • Professional full-time experience in higher education working in Enrollment Management/Admissions.
  • Experience using admissions CRM technology.
  • Experience creating and editing content.
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
  • Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Two years of professional full-time experience in higher education.
  • Experience working with Slate CRM.
  • Experience working with large datasets and using exploratory data analysis to ensure communications content.
