Communications Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking to hire a full time  Communications Coordinator for Student Life.  

Collaborate with departments within Student Life on the marketing, communications, content, creative, and web teams to coordinate Student Life’s integrated communications. Heavily focused on graphic design, this role works directly with a student team that creates and disseminates multimedia content to engage students and their families. This role supports programs and services within Student Life, Creighton Dining, and student organizations, including retail and campus dining, mental and physical well-being, and student engagement. The Communications Coordinator assists with tracking and reporting metrics across channels to optimize marketing efforts. This position also works with the Creighton University Communication and Marketing team in the planning and execution of Student Life campaigns.

Key Responsiblities

  • Work with the student employees in the Creative Suite, coordinates, packages, and distributes social media campaigns across student life social media channels, ensuring consistency of our brand messages. Work with content creators to update and maintain content across Creighton’s digital touchpoints. Facilitate direct email communications to list segments.
  • Works with Student Life departments to create integrated marketing campaigns and assets.
  • Coordinates Creighton Dining marketing/communications deliverables, including email communication, social media, websites, content, and final traffic assets.
  • Manages internal business operations, including email and social media platforms.
  • Collaborates with the marketing and communications teams in UCOM to support internal and external marketing and communication activities, branding, and web strategy initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1+ years of marketing, communications, or similar experience.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics and the ability to use data to drive strategy and monitor and report on results.
  • Strong graphic design background with experience in Adobe Creative Suite required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and leaders across campus.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Adobe Certified Professional certification preferred or obtained within 1 year of employment
