The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Health Sciences Transition Lead with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the team. As the Transition Lead for UCLA Health Sciences, you will be an integral member of the Learning Management System program team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to enable a world-class, integrated teaching and learning experience for faculty and students that sets the standard for teaching excellence, academic achievement, and inclusivity.
The Health Sciences Transition Lead will create and execute the transition strategy for Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Public Health including stakeholder management, organizational change management and readiness activities, in partnership with the larger program team, to facilitate the adoption and rollout of UCLA's new Learning Management platform. This role coordinates health sciences transition activities across UCLA's LMS team, including the Academic Team, Technical Implementation Team, and LMS Center of Excellence Team, and provides an understanding of benefits and risks around the rollout of new tools, technologies, experiences, and opportunities.
General activities include: Owns, develops and manages Health Sciences transition plan including change strategy, stakeholder management, communications, training and organizational readiness; acts as Health Sciences LMS Transformation lead by engaging, aligning and equipping stakeholders with the tools and capabilities to enable the successful adoption of change; serves as key subject matter expert on Health Sciences transition activities in order to inform the larger LMS program team and leaders; works with cross-functional or extended stakeholder groups within and across Health Sciences and David Geffen Information Technology (DGIT) to understand and mitigate the risk of those impacted and optimize benefits of change; prioritizes LMS Transformation and ensures the effective, timely deployment of LMS Transformation activities to help minimize the disruption of change; leads change management evaluation, planning, and activities associated with technology, process and organizational changes; conducts change impact analysis and stakeholder assessments; designs and applies a structured change management approach to facilitate the transition and adoption of change; leads and executes on LMS change efforts with the Health Sciences campus, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results; partners with the LMS program team on the communication and training roadmap and materials to support the Health Sciences transition including stakeholder messaging, end user campaigns, webinars, town halls, train-the-trainer and end user training to ensure consistent, relevant and timely delivery of messaging and training in support of transition; establishes methods to measure the effectiveness of change management, communication and training efforts, sets targets and tracks results to improve the change program; leads data collection efforts and analyzes data and feedback to inform strategy development; tracks performance and recommends solutions to continuously improve performance; conducts readiness assessments, evaluates results and presents findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner; responds to, solves and makes decisions on change management requests that have broader Health Sciences impact; creates post go-live sustainment plan for LMS services and support for the Health Sciences.
