Position Summary: 

Incumbent  serves as the senior technician for Network Operations within the Health Sciences Information Services Department.   Responsible for analysis and evaluation, implementation and technical development and support of network projects and operations.

Salary Range: 

 

Annual Rate  Minimum  $100,600.00                         Midpoint               $145,700.00                         Maximum              $190,800.00

 

Required Qualifications:

 

 

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience (Knowledge) with Citrix Netscaler/F5 Load Balancers, Infoblox, Cisco ACI and VMWare NSX

Knowledge of security appliances/technologies and best practices including Palo Alto/Cisco ASA, DMZ, IDS/IPS, Sniffers, Encryption, ACL's, 802.1x and Cisco ISE

Demonstrated experience with Data Center, LAN, WAN, and Network Security technologies

Eight plus years’ experience in the administration and operation of enterprise networks in a medium to large scale environment with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role

Knowledge of advanced networking/routing protocols and concepts

Knowledge of network administration principles

Knowledge of project management practices

Experience configuring routing protocols and other network technologies such as EIGRP, OSPF, SSL/IPSEC, VPN, GRE, L2TPv3, NAT/PAT, MPLS, QoS, HSRP, Ether channel, VPC, VSS and IPv4

Knowledge of Wireless technologies 802.11a/b/g/n, WPA2, WAP and Cisco Wireless Controllers

Knowledge of OSI Model practices

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

CCNP or Higher

Palo Alto Certified

F5 Certified

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
