|Summary of Duties||
The Drug Enforcement and Policy Center at the Moritz College of Law is a newly founded center focusing on promoting and supporting interdisciplinary, evidence-based research, scholarship, education, community outreach and public engagement on the myriad issues and societal impacts surrounding the reform of criminal and civil laws prohibiting or regulating the use and distribution of traditionally illicit drugs. We are looking for a Public Engagement Specialist to help us create and implement communications strategies to promote the center’s initiative and events, and to establish productive relationships with key stakeholders and policymakers. Primary duties include working closely with the college’s communications and marketing team to ensure adherence to the university visual identity and synergy between the center and the college’s outreach; designing visual communications, including but not limited to: reports, e-newsletters, brochures, web and social media graphics, and posters; developing, support and promote center’s activities, including message development, social media content creation and media outreach; developing and disseminating public relations materials that increase our visibility among stakeholders and lawmakers; maintaining the center’s website; identifying target audiences and create strategies to effectively engage them; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, design, related major, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-3 years of experience with social media platforms; demonstrated experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML source code, WordPress, Google Analytics; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently in a start-up environment.
