Working closely with local and state advisory groups to determine local program needs and direction, Extension draws on the resources of 13 different departments in five colleges to provide non-credit educational programs based on research-generated knowledge. Position Summary
The Colorado State Fair 4-H Assistant will assist remotely 10-15 hours per week between June 7 and August 13 with administrative needs projects and priorities for Colorado 4-H’s involvement in the Colorado State Fair. Additionally, the assistant will be required to travel to Pueblo, CO the last two weeks of August and first weekend of September to supervise the State Fair Growing Minds Dorms and provide general support for 4-H at the Colorado State Fair. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the State 4-H Office staff specifically for the Colorado State Fair goings on. We are seeking an organized, detail oriented, problem-solving individual to fill this seasonal position.  Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with event preparation, support to projects involving data entry and paperwork, and general office organization assistance. 
Position Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to receive direction and follow-thru with tasks 
  • Demonstrated time management
  • Required to travel to work at and stay at State Fair Growing Minds Dorms located in Pueblo, Colorado the last two weeks of August and first weekend of September. Specific dates TBD
  • Must be 21 years of age or older per Colorado 4-H supervision policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with event planning 
  • Familiarity with Canva graphic design platform 
  • Familiarity with supervisory or chaperoning duties
