College Tutor

 Provides individualized and group tutoring in a manner that empowers students to become independent, successful learners.

 Provides tutoring in Ivy Tech courses with concentrations in subjects specific to qualifications.

 Teaches and assists students in the use of computer software.

 Guides and instructs students in the use of software programs and/or web-based applications directly related to Ivy Tech coursework and infrastructure.

 Maintains tutoring records and weekly appointments for each student.

 Maintains a consistent semester schedule in regard to time and location

 Interacts with Tutoring Coordinator and/or instructors as to student needs, topics tutored, course changes, and new text book adoptions.

 Takes active role in promoting the tutoring program with faculty, students, and staff

 Reports directly to the Lead Tutor(s) as to the needs and concerns related to Tutoring

 Performs duties to provide for the smooth operation of the campus Tutoring Center

 Updates Tutoring Coordinator and other Lead Tutor(s) about any performance and scheduling issues

 Maintains organization and cleanliness within the Tutoring Center

 Verifies that all textbooks are properly secured within cabinetry

 Stays abreast of new applications such as EdReady, IvyLearn, MyLab/Mastering, etc.

 Supports the Lead Tutor in providing needed materials for training sessions/workshops
