Emory Law seeks a Communications Intern to join us for the summer of 2024. The intern will work with staff members on existing projects including web, social media, email campaigns, design, and event planning.
- Consults with management and staff to design, develop and maintain a website.
- Writes and edits various communications materials including correspondence and fliers.
- Develops and maintains effective methods for distributing communication materials and information.
- Maintains required record-keeping and documentation.
- Consults with staff outside of the department in the use of communications technology.
- May utilize various aspects of social media to accomplish work objectives.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
As an intern, the position works under direct or general supervision to perform a variety of tasks requiring limited independent judgment.
- May research, compile and prepare routine or ad-hoc reports. May research and maintain records, files and logs.
- May initiate or maintain contact with customers, vendors or contractors and respond to, research and resolve inquiries of a routine nature.
- May arrange for logistical meeting needs such as set up, handouts, reports, speakers and clean up.
- May assist in developing, implementing and managing programs or projects.
Part-time (20 hours) with some flexibility in hours. Ideally, working on-campus Monday - Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
MINIMUN QUALIFICATION:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a college or university offering a four-year degree.
- Completion of freshman year or higher and in good academic standing.
- College transcripts required as part of interview process.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
