Douglass Women in Science and Engineering is seeking a candidate to redesign the Douglass Computer Science Living-Learning Community’s required course, Big Ideas in CS, to focus on hands-on pedagogies, project- and computing-based activities, and current technologies. The new curriculum will utilize a breadth-first approach engaging students in computing-related application areas and societal contributions. Curricular redesign elements must include active learning, computing curiosity, gamification, and current technologies that are appropriately leveled for first-year students.
