HARBORVIEW'S OPERATING ROOM has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day Shift, HOSPITAL ASSISTANT LEAD / (CNA) position. The HMC Operating Room Hospital Assistant Lead directs the work of HA’s in the OR as directed by the Nurse Manager or Designee. The individual in this position will provide direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or Designee. Under supervision, the Hospital Assistant Lead will assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care; transportation of patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking of supplies; and maintenance/set up of special equipment, patient beds and/or stretchers.  Participates in unit and selected Departmental activities to facilitate a safe environment, support quality assessment and improvement activities and promote and contribute to the development of teamwork.
Additionally, the Lead promotes effective problem solving and communication; oversees, assigns, directs and participates in the evaluation of  the work of HAs.

REQUIREMENT:
High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience.   

LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington.
