Description

We are seeking a CLS Supervisor to lead and supervise all technical activities of the UCLA Santa Monica Laboratory. You will serve as a core member of the management team, along with the Laboratory Manager to provide oversight for operations. Primary duties include: • Oversee day to day operational activities of the lab • Supervise and lead a team of laboratory staff (technicians and phlebotomists) • Develop and implement recommendations for change, ensuring that services meet the needs of all customers • Create a collaborative working environment and culture of continuous improvement • Participate in 24/7 on call rotation Salary Range: $115,600.00 – $155,900.00/year



  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

• Current, valid California Clinical Lab Scientist license • At least 4 years of licensed CLS experience • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology or a related field • Ability to troubleshoot issues that arise outside of normal working hours, including weekends and holidays • Must have management skills such as planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the work of others • Must have knowledge of testing methodologies and how laboratory tests can support diagnosis and therapy of patients • Knowledge of infection control practices and use of laboratory tests, including current knowledge of CAP, JCAHO, California State, CLIA, CLSI and Cal OSHA guidelines and regulations • Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team
