Contributes in the planning, design, development and implementation of integrated technology solutions that support and enhance the cloud platform infrastructure for the Wexner Medical Center. Responsible for the engineering, build, configuration, integration, performance optimization, and end-to-end testing of cloud platforms to ensure stability, reliability and acceptable performance. Plans and develops the detailed engineering, design and implementation of the Wexner Medical Center’s cloud infrastructure configuration. Plans and validates upgrades of cloud infrastructure and support systems in accordance with ITIL best practices. Responsible for cloud infrastructure build projects that range from medium to large in scope, risk and impact. Contributes to strategic projects by evaluating and researching new and existing products, procedures and/or workflows needs associated with cloud infrastructure for the Wexner Medical Center. Researches current and developing technologies to provide technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations and requirements of the cloud infrastructure platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field desired, and 5 years of cloud engineering, IaaS, PaaS, virtualization experience, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Additional Information:

  • Significant experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with Azure Information Protection, Office365 Message Encryption, architectural design, migration management and support of large-scale implementations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management principals
  • Experience with Microsoft Cloud App Security
  • Experience with security concepts such as CASB, DLP, Conditional Access Policies
  • Managed the Cloud hosting platform as well as the design and implementation of higher level services such as the IaaS, PaaS and SaaS layers, Authentication/Authorization, Data encryption, Key management services integration and other security services.
  • Familiarity with Python, APIs, and PowerCLI/PowerShell
  • Experience applying technical security standards to office 365, active directory, windows servers, and workstations
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practice guidelines desired
  • Required certifications within 1 month of hire: Azure Fundamentals or equivalent
  • Required certifications within 6 months of hire: Azure Administrator and Azure DevOps Engineer or equivalent
