This position may be eligible for Remote Work, working entirely remotely after the initial 90 days of employment.

Salary Range: $91,458/year or higher, commensurate with experience and/or education

JOB SUMMARY
The Cloud Architect is responsible for the overall planning, designing, managing and maintenance of the operational status of Office 365, Azure Cloud environment along with other infrastructure components.

DUTIES

  • Plans, manages, and maintains the operational status of Office 365 and Azure Cloud environment
  • Provides installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, administration, and troubleshooting of Office 365 on the cloud and on-premise (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, Directory Sync)
  • Proposes, leads, and implements initiatives (automation) and enhances process improvement efforts
  • Reviews, monitors and troubleshoots servers and applications from performance/usage perspective
  • Maintains and updates technical documentation for on-premise and cloud environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
  • Microsoft messaging or collaboration technologies
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft server OS 2012R2, 2016 and above
  • Azure AD, Azure AD Connect (DirSync), Active Directory, and DNS
  • PowerShell, Information Security, SQL databases, programming, and networking

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to take part in technical cross-functional meetings, strong commitment to process, and understanding of change and configuration management principles
  • Ability to maintain and update technical documentation for cloud environment

 

WORK LOCATION AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment

Physical Demands: 

  • Work is performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements; individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing, etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and the ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • May be asked to respond to problems or provide service after hours
  • Expected to carry and respond to cell phone at all times

Qualifications

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience
  • Operational experience with hybrid and cloud technologies, Microsoft 365 Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint application support, complex multi-domain environment

License/Certification:

  • Microsoft Certification

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of (5) five years of Windows System Administrator experience 
  • Cisco CCNA certification 
  • Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator 
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint
